Social and Cultural Activities
A greeting, a kind word always makes a person happy…
Whether rich or poor, humans always need attention and love. Often, people need companionship, conversation, or a smile more than bread and water.
In the digital age, humanity is becoming increasingly isolated, anxieties are rising, and trust issues are common. Any work done on society or individuals should address this issue. The more vibrant social life is, the more peace and happiness exist in our lives.
In this context, institutions serving in humanitarian aid should conduct social and cultural activities alongside material assistance. It is necessary to analyze all aspects of human needs carefully.
Due to ongoing wars and poverty worldwide, thousands of families and millions of children need psychological support. Being a slave to materialism, getting lost in the dizzying chaos of modernity, and isolation create lasting impacts on individuals’ identities.
What We Do?
It is clear that social and cultural activities allow individuals to express themselves, find their place, and gain respect as members of society, while also promoting social cohesion, unity, and solidarity.
Our association is aware of the importance of conducting social and cultural activities and organizes programs in many areas.
We participate in both aid efforts and various aspects of social life, striving to continue our activities with your support.
We provide psychosocial support to families, refugees, and migrants forced to leave their countries due to war, civil strife, hunger, poverty, and similar reasons. Through workshops, we help children overcome trauma and tragedy. Additionally, vocational courses, conferences, seminars, and print/visual publications contribute to social and cultural awareness.
Our Projects
Descendants of the Foundation Civilization Protect Their Heritage
Our association organized panels titled "Descendants of the Foundation Civilization Protect Their Heritage" with academics and experts. These panels aim to share our heritage from foundation civilization with wider audiences and demonstrate how the beauty and goodness of the past can enrich modern life.
Based on our cultural and civilizational history, our tradition of helping, protecting the oppressed, supporting those in need, and caring for relatives, neighbors, widows, orphans, and the destitute is promoted and continued through these panels held across many cities in Turkey.
Upcoming panels will continue, and you can access past recordings and our project page here.
Orphan-Themed Film Project: "Don't Leave Me"
We launched this film project in cinema, a universal language, to understand and convey the realities of orphans and orphanhood.
While shooting the film, we depicted the real-life stories of Syrian orphan children living in Turkey. Regardless of religion, language, or race, we aimed to raise awareness and educate the public about the plight of orphans.
The film was directed by Aida Begić, a renowned director who experienced the Bosnian civil war firsthand, along with her team.
This film is more than drama; it reflects how hope and love can flourish among children even amidst war. All stories portrayed in the film are real, and the actors are real Syrian refugee children.
Director Aida Begić prepared for two years before filming. She conducted numerous drama workshops with hundreds of Syrian orphans organized by our association. She also spent time with families of orphans supported by our association, hearing many stories directly from them. Having experienced a similar childhood hardship herself, she conveyed the emotions authentically.
The "Don't Leave Me" film has participated in many international film festivals and reached millions of viewers. For more details, visit the official film website.
Mushaf-i Sharif Distribution Project
In our project “The Most Beautiful Gift,” we distribute Qur’ans approved and sealed by the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Turkey, written by Muhammed Abay based on the famous Ottoman calligrapher Hafız Osman’s style. Copies are prepared for both Turkey and Muslim countries in Arabic and African regions using the Resm-i Osmânî style.

Blood Brotherhood Project
Being a regular blood donor is an important responsibility. Blood is always needed and has no alternative. It can only be provided by humans. Our association collaborates with the Turkish Red Crescent to support this essential social responsibility.
Our ultimate goal is for each individual to donate blood regularly, every four months, without waiting for a campaign. To promote this, we launched the "Blood Brotherhood Membership Platform" with over 30,000 volunteers.

July 15 Activities Project
On July 15, 2016, the coup attempt by FETÖ threatened national sovereignty and unity. Our volunteers and the people courageously resisted, preserving independence and supporting national institutions.
Following the President's call “take to the squares!”, we participated nationwide with our fellow citizens, serving with various offerings alongside brother organizations.
We created a dedicated webpage to document activities during and after July 15. Click here for details.
